Hello !!

AutumnRIDER

I’m loving – and living – the retired life and the sometimes crazy stuff that happens when you’re an adventure biker, but needing walking sticks on a daily basis.

I’ve lived a life shaped by challenge, change, topsy-turvy relationships, and eclectic work, so my advancing years may slow the walk, but it doesn’t slow the ride..

Outwardly, it all looks like motorbikes, fun, travel, speed, machines, curiosity, and the simple joy of motion. But inwardly, it’s about meaning, resilience, connection, and always staying awake to what life is asking.

Everything here is written by me from my own lived experience. Lots of it. Filmed by me. Processed by me. Published by me. About events that can be as messy as they are real.

This is a website to explore a life in motion — with curiosity, humour, and a tankful of gas.

Now let’s get on with the joy:

  1. Nice Rides and Fun Stuff
  2. Fails, Falls and How To
  3. Grandpa on the Road
  4. The Big Journey

If there is one video to watch, let it be this one below. Its in the page called “Nice Rides” too, but a good one to get a feel for me and what I’m about.

“Autumn: A Time For Change”

August 2025. T

his video was one of my first videos, shot during an Advanced Riders day out in Northumberland near Otterburn.

It’s a contemplation on Autumn, why it has always called me towards international travel, to new landscapes, new perspectives and internal change.
